METAMORPHOSIS: MATTER AND TEMPORALITY

Matter that transforms or transforms itself speaks as much to artists as it does to wine makers. The wine maker is acutely aware of the time required to transform wine, the time for ageing; a suspended moment during which the materials evolve. It is a phenomenon that is both physical and mysterious: the angel's share is a poetic way of describing the evaporation that occurs as a spirit aging in a barrel.
