METAMORPHOSIS: MATTER AND TEMPORALITY

The 2026 edition of Art & Vin continues its thematic trilogy: Metamorphosis!

This 28th edition is therefore placed under the theme “Matter and Temporality” — a dialogue that particularly resonates with Independent Winegrowers, who are at the heart of their territories. It raises questions about the raw material, the vine, and the time involved in its transformation into the finished product: wine. Just like art, which escapes finite time to elevate matter into a suspended, eternal moment. This oeno‑cultural event, led by the Independent Winegrowers of Var‑Alpes‑Corse, is a must‑see in the Région Sud and promises a rich and exciting edition!

This summer, the art of Jean‑Marc Tourreilles reveals how an image is born from time. Starting from a scribble, he accumulates interlaced lines until shapes emerge, as if appearing on their own. A slow, patient metamorphosis, where matter transforms before our eyes. Transparencies, overlays, variations of tools: each work is a passage, a shift, an apparition.

This year, Château de Mauvanne welcomes the delicate and organic universe of Sayanaël, a textile artist who transforms raw material into works vibrating with poetry. Her macramé work explores transformation, the rhythm of time, and the beauty of artisanal gesture.
